The Sarasota Museum of Art
Inspired by Ringling College’s vision to “change the way the world thinks about art and design” and become the preeminent art and design college worldwide, the Sarasota Museum of Art will serve as both a platform and a catalyst to experience new art and new ideas. By engaging with nearly a century of art, from the late-Modern period to the present, the Museum’s exhibition and educational programming will inspire and engage audiences of all ages. Sarasotans and visitors alike will enjoy diverse art from around the world and celebrate our collective creative achievements.
The Ringling College School of Continuing Studies
Operations for the School of Continuing Studies will move to the main building of the Museum Campus after the Museum opens. The new classrooms, built with lifelong learning and general continuing education programs—including art programs—in mind, will elevate the experience of students by sharing the space with the Sarasota Museum of Art. The campus will become a holistic and encompassing art and education experience for visitors.
Currently headquartered at Temple Beth Sholom, Ringling College Lifelong Learning Academy will continue to offer classes at four locations around the region until it moves into the new facility: Temple Beth Sholom, The Center of Anna Maria Island, State College of Florida (Lakewood Ranch), and Westminster Towers & Shores. The Academy offers courses, workshops, lectures, Academy Talks, discussion groups, and other academic adventures.
Ringling College’s Continuing Studies and Special Programs will be offered at the historic Sarasota High School and at the Englewood Art Center.
